Seongchwi Ilkkun v1.3

Bug fixes:
– Body jbeam has been edited further, making damage more realistic for the given car
– You can now finally switch 4WD to 2WD (credit to Miata lover)
– Injected tuned ECU doesn’t break the engine anymore
– Some other stuff I forgot

Lore Seongchwi Motor Company (성취자동차) was established in 1950, becoming the first automobile manufacturer in North Korea. It mainly manufactured rebadged vehicles designed in other (friendly) countries.

However, in the early 1980s, a goal was set to design and build a new multi-purpose passenger vehicle. Several western vehicles were imported, taken apart, and studied. The result was Seongchwi Ilkkun – a reverse-engineered ETK I-Series doppelganger.

Although officially praised as “the best car ever made”, in reality, Ilkkun was of subpar quality due to cheap materials and lack of manufacturing technology, The outdated engine design – a copy of Ibishu Miramar’s 1.6 powerplant – which pushed out just 70 horsepower in standard configuration didn’t do the car justice either.

Still, besides civilian use, Ilkkun was used as taxis, and police cars and even built for military needs since it was one of very few domestically manufactured cars.

For the year 2005, Ilkkun was updated with an injected engine, passenger side mirror, headrests, trim delete, and a few other changes. The model is still in production as of the present day.

About the mod:
Although this mod has several inspirations, the most prominent one is Kaengsaeng 88, a copy of the Mercedes 190. There are two engines to choose from, almost no tuning parts (lore-accurate), and some nice skins. If you find it boring, slow, and underwhelming, then it’s just as intended.
